Enjoy Stress-Free Visits
Fear and anxiety prevent a large number of people from getting the dental care they need. Everything from fear of needles and a sensitive gag reflex to traumatic past experiences keep millions of Americans out of the dental chair each year. Even the sights, sounds and smells of the dental office are enough to keep many patients from seeking treatment. At Sunrise Periodontics and Implant Dentistry, we make it easy to get the care you need. Our practice offers sedation dentistry options designed to meet every level of dental fear and anxiety. With sedation, you can receive the treatment you need and enjoy a no fear, stress-free return to oral health!
An estimated 75 million Americans experience some level of dental fear.
30 to 40 million Americans avoid the dentist out of fear or anxiety.
Sedation Dentistry Options We Offer
Drs. Marvin Price and Kenneth Gewant have helped thousands of patients overcome their fear of dental visits with effective sedation dentistry options.
Nitrous OxideInhaling this odorless, colorless mild sedative before and during your procedure leaves you calm, relaxed and even euphoric. Nitrous oxide is often recommended for mild to moderate dental anxiety and is quick to take effect.
IV Conscious SedationWe bring in a licensed anesthesiologist for IV sedation. This sedation option is administered intravenously, and leaves you with little-to-no memory of your procedure. IV sedation is ideal for moderate to severe fear and anxiety and is the strongest form of sedation we offer.
Local AnestheticLocal anesthetic completely numbs hard and soft tissues, and is often combined with another form of sedation for maximum effect. We use a gentle, experienced technique when numbing treatment areas with local anesthetic for minimal initial discomfort.
